Sagitec is excited to be attending and sponsoring the 2018 National Unemployment Insurance Issues Conference on June 27-29 in Austin, Texas. As an integral body of the Unemployment & Workers’ Compensation (UWC) association, the National Foundation for Unemployment Compensation & Workers’ Compensation conducts research and publishes information on state UI and workers’ compensation programs.
Conference sessions and workshops are conducted by national experts and participants from states across the country. Sessions range from a review of the economy and impact on unemployment, paid family leave and UI eligibility, and UI automated system developments to round-table discussions on various UI topics.
Sagitec Solutions is attending the conference to talk about how they are helping improve the nation’s public workforce system with their UI software solution Neosurance™ - a solution that integrates seamlessly with various employment services and increases an agency’s capacity to respond to changes in policy or technology; allowing them to focus their attention on integrity initiatives.
“We are happy to attend the conference again this year – it is a great event to understand unemployment issues and talk to industry peers and agencies on trends and challenges they face”, said David Minkkinen, Senior Partner, Sagitec Solutions. “These conversations help us streamline and improve our solution offerings so UI agencies can improve business process efficiencies and move to modern technology like cloud computing.”
Sagitec recently published news of their go-live implementation of a UI tax system for the South Carolina (SC) Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW). “This SCDEW tax system was one of the smoothest implementations in my 20 years of UI modernization projects,” said Minkkinen. SCDEW became the first UI agency in the nation to implement a cloud-based UI tax system.
