Project Management

Manage your project from beginning to end

Project Management Introduction

Sagitec understands the importance of effective project management and leadership. Reliable project management greatly reduces the risk of failure, facilitates quality throughout the system development process, and imposes accountability into the daily activities of the project team.

Tried and Tested Approach

  • Track record of success

Sagitec knows how to deliver successful projects. Our track record of on-time, on budget deliveries says it all. Whether waterfall, big bang, agile or another approach, Sagitec’s Project Managers understand how to plan, manage, and control all the critical tasks and deliverables needed to arrive at a successful conclusion.

  • Project management strategies founded by experts

Sagitec uses the processes and practices embodied in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), to guide our disciplines. PMBOK provides a rich framework and a set of standards we can apply generically to any project.

  • Tailored Project Management

Sagitec approaches project management like software development: one size does not fit all. We tailor our project management approach to suit the individual client and project at hand, always seeking innovative ways to reduce risk and cost to our customers.

  • Five processes that lead to a successful project

Sagitec’s project management methodology is organized around the five standard PMBOK Project Management Process Groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Monitoring, and Closing. These processes are designed to implement activities that improve the likelihood your project will be on time, within budget, and reflect all quality characteristics required.

Initiating

Define the project

  • The Initiating phase includes processes that seek to define the project plan, such as performing scope definition and refinement activities.

Joint collaboration

  • During Initiation, we jointly confirm and establish the overall plans, expectations, and measures that we use throughout the project.

Obtain authorization

  • Upon completion of the initiation activities, the project is authorized to commence by the respective stakeholders.

Tangible outcomes

  • At the end of this phase, we solidify the deliverable acceptance criteria, and establish the milestone attainment and phase completion.

Planning

Establish the total scope

  • This process identifies the objectives and plans the course of action required to deliver the scope of your project. We use the goals and objectives you provided to plot the course of action.

Refine objectives

  • The Planning phase is also when project objectives, such as the work plan, schedule and change processes, are refined and confirmed.

Joint collaboration

  • During the Planning process, all of the project documents that will enable a successful project are created. As the course of action is established, there is continuous collaboration between Sagitec staff and your project stakeholders to ensure the strategies and objectives satisfy your expectations and requirements.

Tangible outcomes

  • At the end of this phase, the following outcomes are achieved: Project work plan, project schedule, Project Management Plan, and Risk Management Plan.
