Role Overview:
Sagitec is seeking a Product Owner to work with department Executive Directors, Business Owners, system developers, quality assurance, product delivery, training, and sales teams to lead the evolution of the Neospin Pension Benefit Administration Solutions. The Product Owner (PO) defines and executes product strategy, ensuring alignment with, business requirements, regulations, and customer feedback. The PO manages and refines the backlog, defines Minimum Viable Features (MVFs), and engages stakeholders to adapt the product vision as priorities shift. They support the Agile team in ensuring backlog readiness, guiding development, and approving features based on the Definition of Done (DoD). The PO ensures product quality through metrics, test scenario collaboration, and supports sales, marketing, and implementation teams with demos and customization. The PO also contributes to the product roadmap, mentors Product Owners, and stays informed on industry trends for continuous improvement. This role is remote with minimal travel.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Formulate and execute product design and strategy in alignment with Organizational goals, business requirements, regulation and compliance, market research, and customer feedback.
Develop a well-prioritized backlog, create a business case, and define Minimum Viable Features.
Create a well-defined and prioritized backlog that meets the Definition of Ready (DoR) for the Agile team at each planning interval, ensuring readiness for development and alignment with overall product goals.
Support Agile team members including Team Coach, Developers, and Testers in effective planning, development, and delivery of stories within each iteration and planning interval.
Enable rollout of the product to customers by approving developed product features and stories according to the Definition of Done (DoD). Demonstrating the features. DoD has several criteria including completed product artifacts, such as product overview, process flow, entity relationships, data flow diagrams, and design documentation.
Ensure adherence to high product quality standards, including quality metrics such as defect density, defect leakage, and documentation accuracy. Collaborate with teams to identify test scenarios and automation test beds, ensuring critical processes are thoroughly vetted and aligned with product/feature acceptance criteria.
Support customers (sales, marketing, and implementation teams) by conducting product demonstrations, qualifying client requirements, and assisting with product configuration and customization to ensure alignment between client business requirements and product objectives.
Engage relevant stakeholders regularly to align on the product vision and iteratively refine the backlog to adapt to shifting priorities, ensuring the product remains responsive to evolving needs and market demands.
Continuously expand knowledge of the product and its system integrations, staying informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to support informed decision-making and product improvement.
Ancillary Responsibilities:
Support the Product Management and department.
Defining the product roadmap and vision to align with business objectives and market needs.
In hiring, training, mentoring, and coaching the Product Owners team.
What We’re Looking For:
Advanced proficiency in ALM tools such as Azure DevOps for product epic, features, stories, design documentation, test cases, and bugs.
Advanced proficiency in product development or implementation of Benefit/Pension/Finance/Insurance administration systems or similar domains.
Advanced proficiency in teamwork, customer/team communication, and collaboration.
5+ years of experience in product development or implementation of Benefit/Pension administration systems or similar domains.
Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally in enterprise software or ERP solutions.
Intermediate proficiency in System Thinking and Integration Knowledge.
Strong critical thinking skills to analyze system processes, understand integration points and foresee the impact of changes across the product ecosystem.
Novice proficiency in accounting practices.
Intermediate proficiency in configurable product design and business patterns.
Intermediate proficiency in SAFe or similar agile framework focused on product owner role.
Customer-centric mindset, Built-in Quality focus, Objective focus, Continuous improvement and innovations, team-first attitude.
Bonus Points For:
SAP Product Owner experience in any of their products or industries is highly beneficial.
Experience with defined benefits, defined contribution specifically with the Benefit Payments.
Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications. -Experience with the implementation of an enterprise, product-based solution.
Education:
A bachelor or equivalent degree in MIS, computer science, or financial majors.
Compensation and Benefits:
